The DLW depot was underutilized as a storage shed. Elise Johnson-Schmidt chaired a committee tasked to give this charming train station new life. Through J-S&A's diligence, the station was listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Grant proposals raised funds to return this transportation relic to a center of interest and bustle. Elise also served as the architect of record for the station's restoration through the donations of the Market Street Restoration Agency. The DLW station is currently the home of the Erwin-Painted Post Museum of local interest and history.
