"Close to Home" cartoonist, John McPherson, purchased a large tract of land in New York's scenic Adirondack Mountains to build a home and studio. McPherson required both an open, comfortable family living space and a quiet, brightly lit home studio. The primary design goal was to ensure every room had its own breathtaking view of the landscape.
Elise Johnson-Schmidt's design successfully brought the inspiration of nature into the artist's creative workspace.
